REI Camp Dome 4 Tent Review: Cozy, Cold & Tough to Pitch
I live in the coolest and evergreen city Bellevue, WA. I love to camp and my favorite camping tent is the REI Camp Dome 4 tent.
We use the tent for car camping. The tent says four persons, but honestly the tent could hold only three persons with a bit of uncomforting.
It is absolutely perfect for two persons with turning and tossing during sleep. There are small storage pockets inside the tent that really helped to keep our eye glasses, watch and keys, safely and off the floor.
The rain fly was a bit difficult to assemble, as it slides every time and there must be someone at the other end holding it until the rod is inserted and hooked to the poles.
It was worth assembling the rainfly though, as it rained for two days continuously and there wasn't a single drop inside the tent. Other than that, the tent was very easy to put on and down.

I did like the height of the tent, because I could easily go in and come out without bending and even stand inside without my head hitting the top.
That said, I also did not like the height of the tent because when it was very cold outside, it took longer to get warm inside the tent.
I like the two doors which has separate openings for ventilation. It was very useful during night times when the temperature was 75-80 degrees outside.
I wish the bottom of tent has a bit of extension for leaving our footwear and keep umbrellas to prevent dirt sticking to it. Also, be sure to spread the tent footprint first before assembling the tent on rough surfaces, as to prevent the tent floor from tearing because of small stones and dirt.
I totally had lots of fun, camping with my REI Camp Dome 4 tent.
REI Camp Dome 4 Tent Review: Best Tent I've Ever Owned
The REI Camp Dome 4 Tent is one of the best tents I've ever owned.
It fits 3 of us and our gear comfortably.
It kept us dry in rain (hard rain, even when it looked like it was coming every which direction). I haven't noticed any moisture inside, although others who own the same tent mentioned that being an issue for them.

I use the fly all the time - I don't want to have to get up at 3am when it starts raining.
The REI Camp Dome 4 tent is a great tent, not a bad price, and after a dozen or so uses, it's my new favorite.
