I just spent 3 rainy nights in the Rock 22 and it kept me and my gear very dry. There was quite a bit of condensation on the inside of the fly, but in the conditions I experienced I'm not sure what tent would not.
The number of stakes and guy lines provided do not cover all of the needs of the tent. The steel stakes are flimsy;and scratched easily.
I recommend purchasing aluminum ones before you use the tent.
Don't know why this would be overlooked by North Face other than to keep the quoted weight of the tent down since some reviewers criticize the weight of the tent.
The workmanship of the tent was superior, all the seams were clearly well sewn, and the mosquito netting worked effectively on all all sizes of bugs.
