My Favorite New Zealand & Europe Family Camping Memories

We love to camp! Residing the in a beautiful country which offers endless and balmy summers makes it an all the more desirable holiday that the more we do the better it gets!

We started off in a little pup tent as a young couple in love ... huddling together in the rainy European summers as we ventured around with our backpacks.

Our last trip in the little tent was nestled in between large groups of rowdy families as we were watching the growing bump that became our first borne son. I remember thinking how much I hated being amongst all these "happy camper" families and that we would not be bothering doing that!

Roll on reality and those flashy hotels became a thing of the past with toddlers in tow and we rediscovered the joys of camping with the little ones and pitching in with friends and families to create fantastic summer holidays of large groups of "rowdy families" playing cricket, swimming and endless bbqs.... sigh, that is the life and as summer beckons again here in New Zealand, it won't be long before we dust off our 4 berth family dome tent which has proven very weatherproof and storm proof and cram it into our car again.

I love the way tents are so thoughtfully designed with little pockets and flaps for ventilation and there are little hooks for hanging the torch.

Life is great in tents.... even when it rains! In fact that is what makes it so much fun!
