With its distinctive and unique hub and pole design, this 2 person tent is able to provide maximum interior living space (29 square feet) while weighing in at a mere 4 pounds 3 ounces.
Portable, functional, and absolutely exceptional, the Hubba Hubba tent is a worthy purchase for anyone looking to pick up a new 3-season, 2-person tent that will endure a lifetime of being beat-up by nature..
But before you fork over the dough, there are some things you should be aware of with regards to its design.
We at Camping Tent Reviews have a special place in our hearts for MSR tents.
They are superbly designed (the hub and pole system is a revolution) and will last forever if you take good care of them.
And the Hubba Hubba 2 person tent is right up there with some of the best of their products.
Here are a few reasons why:

Unlike the superior Mutha Hubba tent, however, there are a few drawbacks to choosing this tent over that one.
For one, the construction of the Hubba Hubba seems much flimsier than its Mutha Hubba cousin.
The fly is also not designed as spectacularly as one would hope.
And, because of these small but fairly significant drawbacks, the $300 price tag at REI.com seems a bite too large to swallow.

With its uniquely fantastic swivel-hub design, the Hubba Hubba is a breeze to erect.
This system also gives the Hubba Hubba tent much more interior room than its competitors with similar dimensions.
And, weighing just over four pounds, this tent is one of the lightest and best backpacking tents for 2 people.
The high tech materials used to make this tent also work to create a waterproof and UV-resistant shelter that will keep you dry and safe.
According to at least one Hubba Hubba review, this tent cannot stand up to very strong winds. The reviewer blamed a weak design for this drawback, and other consumers have agreed.
Another drawback seems to be in regards to the durability of the fly. After a few years of use, the fly loses its waterproof abilities. The deterioration of the fly is a symptom of poor design.
With these drawbacks in mind, it's hard to agree that this tent is worth the $300 you would have to spend on it to own one.

If you do decide to buy this 2 man backpacking tent, be sure you also purchase the MSR Hubba Hubba footprint ($39.95 from REI.com) which will add years to the shelter's lifespan.
