Please note: Unfortunately, the Eureka Tundraline is no longer available. We will keep this review up for historical purposes though.
This new, 3 person, a-frame camping tent has incorporated many useful features to make it one of the best 3 man shelters on the market. These features include:
These innovative, thoughtful features makes Eureka Tundraline 3 tents one of the best a-frame tents ever made.
That said, it's not unique. The Eureka Tundraline is essentially a carbon copy of the Lackawanna by Cannondale made over twenty years ago.
Campers thought it was the best then, so Tundraline tents are bound to keep legions of families happy for decades to come.
The Tundraline Tent Set Up
First off, have you ever seen a four season tent that pitches within minutes? This is a priceless benefit.
Next, the Eureka Tundraline A-frame Tent is enormous. Three people will sleep comfortably in the 51 square foot interior.
Store gear safely and securely in the 44 square foot equipment vestibule, and keep valuables organized in the 8 interior storage pockets.
Two doors provide an easy entrance and exit for all three members of your tent camping crew.
Finally, this 3 man, 4 season tent is completely waterproof. Even if pitching the Eureka Tundraline Tent in the rain, its dual-wall build means you can pitch it without a making the interior a water-bed.
Drawbacks are few and far between. Since this is one of the newest tents, few consumer reviews exist.
At first glance it looks like the Eureka Tundraline 3 man tent lacks adequate ventilation for summer use. Even though it's billed as a 4 season tent, you might want to think twice about bringing it out in mid-July.
Next, this is one huge tent when packed. A compression sack is useful when packing.
Finally, the Eureka Tundraline 3 tent is too heavy to be used as a backpacking tent. This is unfortunate, as it seems like it would excel in backcountry winter conditions. However, at 12 pounds, this camping tent may break your back.
That said, it's perfect for car camping or packed into a canoe, as it's designed to be.
