We purchased our Coleman Red Canyon Dome tent about 4 years ago. The very first time we used it, it weathered a severe thunderstorm with pea size hail.
NOTHING in our tent was wet.
We have bragged this tent up to anyone willing to listen because of it's ability to stay dry.
I believe the technology is called "weatherlock". Basically, the floor of the tent wraps up and continues up the wall about 6 inches before the nylon tent wall starts, essentially eliminating the ability of water to leak in at ground level.
The Coleman Red Canyon tent is a snap to put up, was very inexpensive and this thing is HUGE.
We now have a pop up but we'll never get rid of this tent.
Worth every penny!

I love to camp and I never go camping without my Coleman Red Canyon tent. It fits eight people which leaves more than enough room for my wife, two children, and myself.
It also has leak proof seams and a wind resistant frame. This is the perfect tent for any camping trip as it is virtually weather resistant! Every summer I camp it always seems to rain at least half of the time, but with this tent, I have never had a bad camping trip.
My family and I stay dry and cozy in our tent playing cards and telling stories.
No camping trip is ever a waste since we bought this wonderful tent.
It even has three rooms separated by privacy walls so the kids can go in one room and myself and my wife in another. Or, if the kids get scared, the walls can be removed making the tent one large room.
Not only is this tent great when it is set up, it is easy to set up!
The instructions are even sewn onto the bag making it nearly impossible to lose them. For this tent's size, it is unbelievably simple to put it up, which takes time out of the process and stress of setting up camp, leaving more time to enjoy the actually trip and spend time with your family or friends.
I honestly highly recommend buying this tent. I have owned many in the past (most destroyed by rain and weather over time) and none come close to this.
I have owned this tent for two years now and it has not failed me once nor has it even begun to look as if it might.
If you are a real camper, this is the tent you need.
