The Columbia Bugaboo 2 tent is worthless.
I was at 11 mile lake/res in Colorado this fourth of July. A brisk wind broke two poles make of cheap fiberglass and the weekend was ruined.
Additionally this tent is a nightmare to put up in the slightest wind.
It's totally unstable and leaks too.
Forget Columbia and shame on you Bass Pro for selling it.

Well, last night the main zipper on my Columbia Bugaboo tent broke by my seven year old boy just trying to close it.
Now, I'm out the $200.00 and no tent to be used.
I thought I was buying a good tent, but obviously I fell into that trap of being suckered into buying the name of Columbia tents, not the quality.

I think it is so funny that the Columbia Bugaboo ii tent is rated one of the best 5 person tents.
I purchased this tent on the way home from Burning Man after my tent leaked on me during heavy rain the first day.
I thought, 'Perfect, large size, can camp with the girls, piece of cake... plus it was on sale at Cabela's.'
I bring it home and we set it up in the yard. With everyones help (3 girls ages 9, 11, and 13) we set it up in a breeze. It is unanimous: the girls love it.
I on the other hand, realize that there is a mesh hole for the entire back of the tent. This is northern California, people! I was planning on using it this year for Burning Man. I'm thinking maybe I can duck tape a sheet over the back mesh.
I take my 9 year old to Calistoga in November and we freeze.
Fast forward to Spring break, we decide to go to Mount Madonna outside of Santa Cruz for a two night campout. I go out and purchase a catalytic tent heater knowing it is going to be cold. The tent is too big to heat and we freeze.
Pro's: I was able to put in my camp cot and a queen size mattress with room to store our gear. It was easy to put up with two people, one being a 9 years old.
Con's: Way too much ventilation! If you like to camp in the spring, fall and/or winter this is not the tent for you.
But it is a fine summer camping tent, I guess.
